There is some fascinating stuff on the web.
I was reading an article on the BBC World Service site today.
It was concerning the April 16th launch of the Herschel
The part I was reading was headed :
‘HOW ARE STARS AND PLANETS BORN ?’
Herschel, to be launched with Planck, will be the
largest telescope in space.
Matt Griffin of Cardiff University describes how
it’s 3.5 metre mirror will collect heat radiation
to reveal the maternity wards of stars and
planets in distant galaxies and nearby.
Err, can you just fly that by me one more time?
Ahh, OK, maternity wards, stars & planets, erm…
do you have ob/gyn specialists in space now then ?
